When everything's meant to be broken, I just want you to know who I am...

Today was Max Loverboy Hahlbeck's 21st birthday. What started out as 3 people drinking at the local bar, turned into about 14 of us just getting reckless. although things got a little out of hand (for reasons I can't go into), this was one of the best nights I've had in almost a year. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I love my friends.

That's what you get when you let your heart win...

... Or when you let boredom get the best of you. Walking through a beauty supply store with cash in my pocket and a day with no plans usually does not end well for me. I don't know if any of you were around for bizarro blonde fest 09... so here is a brief recap.

Basically I was trying to be cute by adding some blonde highlights to my extensions. End result, a horrible blonde ring circling my head... On my natural hair, plus the added perk of having yellow hands for 10 days.

Today my thoughts were purple.... I bought some dye, locked myself in my room and hoped for the best.

WELL, the gods must have been smiling down on me today. Either that or the stars must have been aligned ever so nicely, because I know have subtly adorable magenta highlights and only slightly pink hands.

It totally makes up for my otherwise event free day.

I would post a picture... But the camera on my phone is temporarily out of commission (at least I hope it's temporary). I'll try again later.

Me, Myself and Time

So I know this movie is about 10 years old, but in my defense I only just saw it a few months ago. The point is, I am crazy obsessed with the really real drama that is Gladiator. I watch it EVERY SINGLE TIME it comes on the tele. Besides the drama and Joaquin Phoenix's ridiculous antics it features just another rare example of a perfect score.

But you really can't expect anything less from Hans Zimmer. The man is genius I tell you. Lisa Gerrard's hauntingly beautiful vocals just and to the complex beauty of Zimmer's composition. It is crazy how one little piece of music can change your life.

If you haven't already heard it, or don't understand what I am talking about I strongly suggest you all listen to "Now We Are Free" from the soundtrack.

It will rock your world.

Summer breeze makes me feel fineee

Working on my fitness is KILLING my bod. Summer break starts in like 2 weeks and I need to find a summer job. Immediately. Preferably an awesome one... Any suggestions? If you know of anything in the tri state area let me know. I'm so sick of working retail but beggars can't be picky at this point. That's all for now. Goodnight mittens in the chair. There's something about the sunshine baby...

I feel like I've been gone forever!!! But alas my 4 followers I have returned. Anyway, not much is new with me. School is lame but going well as am I, well, not the lame part. I am so unbelievably excited for the summer. I'm sure just about everyone is but the Jersey snow has been harsh and unrelenting this season. In addition, I have just been made aware that I don't have a spring break, so I have to wait until the end of April to begin my adventures.
